The US Eats Itself and China Vultures Circle
A Tale of Two Super Powers
While The US Does This….
1. President Biden signed an executive order creating a commission to consider changes to the Supreme Court.
On April 8th, President Biden signed an executive order to create a commission whose task is to explore fundamentally changing the structure of the Supreme Court of the United States.
The order will form “the Presidential Commission on the Supreme Court of the United States, comprised of a bipartisan group of experts on the Court and the Court reform debate,” according to the statement from the White House. While this will be a lengthy process, 180 days, it does demonstrate that Democrats have their sights set on the court, regardless of what they has previously said.
2. ‘Critical Race Theory’ Being Taught at US Army’s West Point, GOP Lawmaker Says
Rather than teaching the military leaders of tomorrow valuable leadership skills or military history and doctrine, the United States Military Academy, more commonly known as West Point, has incorporated “Critical Race Theory” into their classrooms.
As future lieutenants prepare themselves with the skills needed to lead platoons into battle against America’s enemies, they are now being burdened with unessential knowledge that may very well harm how they interact with enlisted soldiers.
Meanwhile, China Does This…
1. China Plans to Dominate Blockchain
China’s five-year plan for social and economic development calls for the use of blockchain applications in supply chain management, e-governance and fintech, as well as related research and development on smart contracts, asymmetric encryption and consensus algorithms.
Chinese military publications have consistently proclaimed that blockchain technology will provide the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) with an edge in intelligence, weapons lifecycle, personnel management and information warfare. Greater investment by the Chinese government in a range of blockchain applications risks positioning Beijing as a leader in this foundational technology at the expense of the U.S. national security.
2. CCP Adviser Outlines Plan to Control South China Sea, Challenge US Dominance in Indo-Pacific
The Chinese regime aims to seize all of the South China Sea to eventually control parts of the wider Indo-Pacific and challenge U.S. dominance in the region, according to a well-known Chinese professor.
The plans illustrated by the professor, who also advises the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), stand in stark contrast with the CCP’s public declarations on its behavior in the waterway.
3. China Begins Hotline for Citizens to Report ‘Illegal’ History Comments
As bad as Facebook’s and Instagram’s algorithms have become in regards to censorship, it is still not as bad as if our own government carried out these actions.
Taken right out of George Orwell’s 1984, Chinese citizens must now worry about their online “neighbors” reporting any actions that seem out of line to the proper authorities.
With private companies around the country adopting “safe spaces” and “political correctness”, Americans already have to worry about a system like China’s that save the government time by turning citizen on citizen in an attempt to cancel one another.
4. China Prepares for Battle
As tensions rise between China and Taiwan, it has been reported that Chinese fighters and bombers have simulated aerial strikes on aircraft carriers. This comes with a growing presence of the Chinese navy in the region and statements from Taiwan leadership stating, “We are willing to defend ourselves without any questions and we will fight the war if we need to fight the war. And if we need to defend ourselves to the very last day we will defend ourselves to the very last day.” Combined with China’s aggressive training exercises, Taiwan’s firm stance, and US warships on a course to the region, it is clear that tensions will rise before they settle.
